Not all freshwater lakes and ponds in Florida are naturally occurring. Many are man-made like this retention pond and connecting canal in Venice, Florida. The still water provides a mirror reflection.

I was lucky with this shot - it was a calm day and the surface of the water was perfectly still and allowed for these mirrored reflections.
